1) What is the traffic partnership?

Our Traffic Partnership Program offers your site an amount of exposure to our visitors in direct relation to how many visitors you send from your site to HotCandlestick.com. Your participation in our traffic partnership program benefits you in three ways.

First, adding a link to HotCandlestick.com enhances your site's usefulness by providing your visitors with easy access to our award winning directory.

Second, the more traffic you send HotCandlestick.com, the higher your site will rank on our partner list.

Third, you will also have the opportunity to have your site listed as a featured site on HotCandlestick.com. What does this mean?

Every month, a new 'Featured Partner' is selected based on a favorable review of the site by our staff at HotCandlestick.com. Traffic sent to HotCandlestick.com is considered, however the review is primarily based upon the quality of content. The monthly 'Featured Partner's site will receive prime listing above the #1 spot in the partner list. Also, the site will be listed on the left navigation bar on HotCandlestick.com's home page. You can sign up your site immediately. Once you add a link to us then whenever your visitors click on it, this will cause a hit to be registered on our servers. As you send more hits to us, your site will rise in the rankings of our partner list.

2) How do I sign my site up?

Click here to sign up immediately for our traffic partnership program. It consists of a simple 2-step process. Once complete, you can start rising in the partnership list rankings by sending traffic to us from your site.

3) How often are traffic partnership stats reset?

We reset the traffic partnership statistics once every four weeks. This is to give newly added partners a fair chance to rise to the top. Total traffic sent from each partner is viewable on our partner page. It is updated at least once per day.

4) Are there any rules for the voting?

To make the traffic partnership program fair to all participants we have established rules that all partners must agree to and follow. The rules can be viewed here.

5) How do you prevent cheating?

Without going into details, we use a combination of technologies to enforce our rules including disregarding multiple hits during the same day, for the same site, from the same person.

Those intent on trying to cheat will find it both inconvenient and time consuming. Furthermore, it is easily and automatically detected & corrected by us and the person and/or site found responsible may be blocked from future participation or have their site deleted from the traffic partnership.

6) How do I become a "Featured Partner"?

Every month, a new "Featured Partner" is selected based on a favorable review of the site by our staff at HotCandlestick.com. Traffic sent to HotCandlestick.com is considered, however the review is primarily based upon the quality of content. 7) How come my site was deleted?

Sites can be deleted for a variety of reasons as outlined in the rules you agreed to when you signed up. Some of the more common reasons include:

- Failure to add graphic or link to your site's page.
- Inappropriate or forbidden content.
- Inactivity of your account for more than 30 days.
- Attempts to "cheat" statistics system using your ID.
- Sending of spam in effort to increase hits.
- Unauthorized modification of banner or link code.

If your site was deleted, you may try to sign up again. In most cases we will welcome you back one time so long as you promise to follow our rules. In some extreme cases, your domain name may have been banned.

8) Can I change my account details?

9) Why does my site not appear?

Assuming it was not deleted for a violation of one of our rules, there are only two reasons why a recently added site has not yet appeared on one of our rankings pages.

1) You have not yet added one of our graphics or links to your site.

2) If you or someone has clicked on the link, it has not appeared on our partner page because 1 day has not past since the hit was recorded.

If you know that 1 day has past since a hit has been sent, and you still do not see your site, Contact Us and we will look into it for you.

10) What if I forgot my password or username?

You can retrieve your username and password by contacting us using our Support Form

11) Why can't I find my site in your directory?

While participating in our traffic partnership does qualify your site to be considered for inclusion in our main directory, it does not guarantee your site will be added. While our editors do check the traffic partnership pages for top sites that they can consider adding, we do not guarantee any site will be added within any time frame.
